Portuguese–English Conference Interpretation
Everton Morais is an experienced Brazilian Portuguese–English conference interpreter based in New York. For more than 15 years, he has supported communication at corporate meetings, government and diplomatic engagements, legal proceedings, interviews, academic events, international conferences, and media assignments.

Interpretation modes
Choosing between simultaneous and consecutive interpretation
Interpretation is spoken; translation is written. The right spoken mode depends on how your event is structured.
Simultaneous Interpretation
The interpreter renders the message in real time while the speaker continues. It is appropriate for conferences, formal meetings, presentations, broadcasts, and events where time and natural audience participation are important.
Simultaneous interpretation normally requires equipment, and full-day assignments generally require a team of two interpreters per language pair.
Consecutive Interpretation
The speaker pauses while the interpreter renders each portion. It may be appropriate for smaller meetings, interviews, short presentations, site visits, and certain legal or business settings.
The recommended mode depends on the event structure, number of participants, schedule, and communication goals.
